First: A third level diploma for early childhood professionals

This diploma qualifies trainees and prepares them as teachers of early childhood by acquiring knowledge and skill and enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years of age. This qualification is the gold standard for this sector and is world-renowned for preparing professionals for the stage.

Target group: nursery teachers + female students + children interested in children

Training hours
486 hours (12 months) the trainee is required to complete 23 educational units, which are distributed in 35 training sessions (3 hours) held once a week for one year.
Program hubs:

The first axis: the health, safety and well-being of the child
The second axis: policies, legislation and professional practices in childhood
The third axis: play, growth and education in childhood
In addition to attending training sessions, the trainee must complete 350 hours of practical application as an employee or volunteer in a nursery or kindergarten with children from the age of birth up to 5 years during the duration of the program.
The training is conducted by a team of trained and specialized residents. The trainee is evaluated through weekly assignments and class notes with different age groups and a final project. Each student has an online account to follow the learning: she can download educational materials, communicate with the trainer, send assignments, and watch educational videos. To obtain this qualification on the trainee:

Completion of 23 educational units with theoretical and practical duties.
Final project (lengthy study).
Proof of competence in nursery or kindergarten through class evaluation, interview, or expert certificate.
Age groups and application hours:

Infants: 25 hours.
Children between 2 and 2 years and 11 months: 133 hours.
Children between 3 and 5 years: 192 hours.
Educational units:

2. Healthy food and nutrition for children from birth to five years old.
3. Support the routine of care and physical care.
4. Encourage social and emotional development for the well-being of children from birth to five years of age.
5. Support for sick children.
6. Understand legislation on the security, safety and protection of children from birth to five years of age.
Legislation and policies on the health and safety of children.
8. Comprehensive practice in nurseries, equality and diversity.
9. Understand the importance of early childhood play.
10. Working in partnership with the team, parents and other specialists to support infants and young children.
11. Planning activities for children from birth to five years old.
12. Enhance learning environments.
13. Develop reading and writing skills from the age of birth to five years.
14. Develop math skills from the age of birth to five years.
15. Support the transition from kindergarten to kindergarten and from kindergarten to school.
16. Develop children’s cognitive skills.
17. Promote speech and language.
18. Children’s communication skills.
19. Promote personal and emotional growth from the age of birth to five years.
20. Support for children with special needs.
21. Use observation and evaluation to promote children’s development.
22. Use lengthy studies to plan activities and support children’s development.
23. Professional development and ethics.

Conditions for enrollment:

Be able to read and write.
Be able to search the internet and communicate via email.
To adhere to working hours with children from birth to five years of age during the training program.
When enrolling in the program, each trainee is required to:

1. Signing the Learning Agreement for Arab Children and adhering to all training policies for Arab children.
2. Attend training sessions weekly according to schedule – delay of more than 15 minutes is calculated absence.
3. To complete at least 350 working hours and write them down in the specified form.
4. Working with 3 age groups from the age of birth up to 5 years.
5. Accomplish and achieve all learning standards.
6. Complete all duties for all modules.
7. Accomplish two descriptive observations with two of the following categories:

From birth to two years.
Two to three years.
Three to five years.
8. A lengthy study with a child in the field of learning one.

Certification:
The certificate (a third level diploma for early childhood professionals) is accredited from three different quarters:
1. British Council of CertificateS in Education, Welfare and Health CACHE NCFE www.CACHE.org
2. King Saud University – Department of Early Childhood.
3. The Arab Child.

After completing the program:

The trainee can work as a teacher in a nursery or kindergarten centre.
The intern can apply for the adoption of the International CdA Fellowship in Childhood from the American Council of Childhood Professionals USA www.cdacouncil.org
The trainee can apply for the NCFE CACHE diploma at a fourth level for the advanced early childhood practitioner.

Second: A fifth level diploma in the leadership of children’s and youth services

This program is a trainee for the management of nurseries, kindergartens and kindergartens by applying the best quality standards, team management skills and developing policies, procedures and operational plans for the center.
Target group: Nursery manager, kindergarten, children’s centre, assistant manager or supervisor.

Training hours:
The total number of hours is 555 hours (12 months) the trainee is required to complete the educational units, which are distributed to 35 training sessions (session duration 3 hours) held once a week for one year. The trainee must complete working hours as a manager or volunteer in a nursery, kindergarten or children’s centre with the duration of the program. The training is conducted by a team of trained and specialized residents. The trainee is evaluated through weekly assignments and a practical research and evaluation project within the center. Each student has an online account to follow the learning: she can download educational materials, communicate with the trainer, send assignments, and watch educational videos. To obtain this qualification on the trainee:

Completion of 17 educational units with theoretical and practical duties.
A research project.
Proof of competence in kindergarten or kindergarten through a practical evaluation and interview.

2. Procedures and policies for nursery, kindergarten or children’s centres.
3. Supervising the curriculum.
4. Professional supervision of kindergarten or kindergarten.

8. Research study in the field of childhood.

Certification:
The certificate (fifth level diploma in the leadership of children’s and youth services) is accredited from three different quarters:

3. The Arab Child.

After completing the program:

Prepare the trainee as a nursery, kindergarten or children’s centre manager.
The trainee can apply for training or postgraduate programs in the same field.
The trainee can meet part of the jawda standards requirements for raising and quality assurance in nurseries and kindergartens.
